The instrumental music program is growing, and with growth comes opportunity and challenges.  In the upcoming year the band will be undertaking numerous activities including but not limited to the following:
  • Concerts for each grade level (5th - High School)
  • Jazz band performances
  • Pit orchestra for the high school musical
  • Purchase of new instruments
  • Adjudicated solo and ensemble festival
  • Adjudication large group festival
  • Performances at all home and away football games
  • Performances at band festivals and parades

The 5-12 instrumental music program now includes over 250 students and is growing.  As this growth continues we are presented with many challenges and opportunities to raise funds for the program.  Our Band Parents Association is active with numerous fundraisers and projects to support and defray the cost for the families involved as well as the school system.  To that end, we are always in search of additional assistance in order to give our students the best possible music education possible.

Here are some opportunities for you to further support the St. Clairsville-Richland City Schools instrumental music program.  By donation through the Band Parent Association, which is a non-profit 501(c)-3 organization, your donation is tax deductible.

Sponsor a Uniform

For a $400 donation, you can sponsor a uniform for use by the St. Clairsville High School Marching Band and keep our band looking its best!  A listing of all sponsors is maintained in the band room at the high school, and sponsor names will be announced at home football games.

Sponsor an Instrument

A growing instrumental music program is always in need of instruments and this is an easy way to put your donation dollars to immediate use.  The cost of instruments can vary, but the following provides a list of some immediate needs and related costs that you might contribute towards.

Sponsor a Band Member

The Band Parents Association attempts to defray the costs for families with students involved in the instrumental music program.  However, costs can still be prohibitive for some families.  For example, band camp costs approximately $300 per student per year.  You have the opportunity to donate funds specifically for a student in need or for general use in covering costs for all the students involved.

Please contact the band office at 740-695-1584 x251 to inquire about the above sponsorships.
